Magnolia’s Travelogue Home Page

Time to hit the Beach in The Caribbean

What are your memories and thoughts about the last time you traveled? This blog will be for those people wanting guidance and advice from an average Joe who has travelled extensively. Common questions I hear are, “where is the best place to go on holiday,”  or “what is the best hotel to stay in”. I will attempt to answer some of these questions, as well as  pose some questions, also I will share some of my miss-adventures so that you can see that mishaps does not have to spoil a vacation. When a vacation give you lemons, buy some tequila and have some margaritas  and let the vacation continue, more importantly, my posts and blogs will show you that vacations or traveling can be fun and exciting. Also, I would like to say, another focus of this travelogue is to stimulate you,  or induce you to go beyond your front door or front yard, and just maybe take the path least traveled. If you follow my blogs and post you will have a desktop vacation to some exotic places, some that are  unique, some very quaint, some fantastic, and some that you may have visited, and some that you may desire to visit. It does not matter if you take a cruise, a flight, or a road trip, just bear in mind that it is not the trip, but the journey, and if you are not careful you just may accidentally learn something. So, grab an armful of Greyhound tickets, or  get a bag full of rail passes for a fast train, or a tank of gas for your car, if speed is your desire, hop a plane, if  a slow leisurely pace is what you are looking for, take a cruise, more importantly, get out there and go with the wind.

1. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

2. “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine

3. “There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.” – Robert Louis Stevenson

4. “The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson
